Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of this website. Reading a page or using a search feature means you accept them. Do not continue if you disagree with any condition.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners offer a service for any use regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including credit, employment, insurance, or tenant decisions. Its purpose is to identify Callahan County and Texas criminal-record sources. It is not a private investigator or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is an independent private reference site. It does not store official records, obtain them on request, conduct official checks, or submit documents for a user.

It routes readers to Callahan County custodians, Texas Department of Public Safety, the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, and third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

As a condition of use, you must not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use information from this website or a linked tool to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate. Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 62 restricts misuse of Texas Public Sex Offender Registry information. Registry access supports public safety awareness and never permits vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. Data from this site or a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A check needed for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an appropriate FCRA-compliant provider or official channel.

5. No Legal Advice

Content is not legal advice. General Callahan County record information cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure law affects a specific matter. Consult a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and functions are supplied "as is." We make no promise that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dismissals, expunctions, and nondisclosure orders can change what a record shows. Gaps may occur, and no content here is an official statement by a court, sheriff, or agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to government pages, legal resources, and outside services beyond our control. We are not responsible for a destination's availability, content, prices, or data practices. Review its own terms.

8. Intellectual Property

Callahan County Criminal History or its content partners own the site's text, graphics, logos, and code. Written permission is required to copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative content.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harm arising from use of this website, its information, or a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by your use of the site or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any dispute related to site use must be brought in a court located in Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these conditions. A revision takes effect when it is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or ended at any time, with or without notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining terms continue. The affected provision is modified only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
